Events
Come for the coffee, stay for the room.
Workshops, tastings, runs and pop-ups at both shops. Being in the center of it, one gathering at a time.
What actually happens
Not panels. Not product demos.
Our events are reasons to be in the room with other people. Most are free, most are walk-in, and they run at both the Mid-City and MacArthur Park shops. Here’s the kind of thing you’ll find on the calendar below.
Runs & cleanups
Run Club meets the third Sunday of every month at 8am from the Mid-City shop — all levels, coffee after. We also walk the block on neighborhood cleanup days; gloves and bags are on us.
Drink launches
New drinks debut at the bar before anywhere else. The Espresso Sunrise and the Cold Brew Arnold Palmer both launched in person — come try the batch while it’s young.
Summer camp
Sip & Flip, friendship bracelets, tie dye on the patio. Supplies provided. Built for kids and the adults who insist it’s for their kids.
Print & makers markets
Zine and magazine fairs at Mid-City, and the “I Thought of You” holiday market where every item is $20 or less. Independent print, local makers.
Music & quiet
Jazz & Journals takes over the MacArthur Park walnut bar — live music, open notebooks, no small talk enforced.
How to come
Check the dates below, then just show up. For a table at a market or fair, DM @jurassicmagic. Everything runs during shop hours: 7am–4pm Mid-City, 8am–4pm MacArthur Park.
Coffee Events in LA
The calendar fills up.
A working calendar of what's on at both shops — from park cleanups to zine markets to coffee cuppings. Most are free; the newsletter gets dates first.
