The best of pour over and French press, combined by someone who refused to choose.
INSTRUCTIONS
Rinse paper filter with hot water. The Clever holds water by default — it only releases when you place it on a cup.
Add 22g medium-ground coffee. Pour 330g water at 200°F all at once. Give a gentle stir. Place lid on.
Steep for 3:00–3:30. No pour technique required — just wait.
At 3:30, place the Clever on your mug. The valve opens automatically and coffee flows through the paper filter into your cup. Done.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Tastes muddy: Steeped too long. Reduce steep time by 30 seconds.
Weak: Use more coffee or steep longer. The Clever is very forgiving — adjust freely.
FAQ
Better is the wrong question. The Clever is more consistent and beginner-friendly than pour over because technique doesn't matter — you just steep. Trade-off: less control over the final flavor profile.
