Brewing coffee like it's 1840 and you have a chemistry degree.
INSTRUCTIONS
Fill the bottom globe with 350g hot water. Attach cloth or paper filter to upper globe. Assemble loosely.
Apply heat to bottom globe. As water heats, vapor pressure will push it upward into the top globe through the siphon tube.
Once water has fully transferred to the top globe, add 25g of ground coffee. Stir gently for 10 seconds to saturate all grounds evenly.
Steep for 90 seconds to 2 minutes. Stir once more at 1:30.
Remove the heat source. As the bottom globe cools, it creates vacuum pressure that draws brewed coffee back down through the filter, leaving grounds behind. Serve immediately.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Water won't rise: Seal between globes isn't tight enough. Check the connection.
Coffee won't descend: Filter is clogged. Cloth filters need thorough cleaning between uses.
Bitter or harsh: Steep time too long. Stay at 90 seconds and adjust grind coarser.
FAQ
The siphon brews at the perfect consistent temperature (at or near boiling) with full immersion, then filters clean through vacuum. The cup is bright, clean, and complex — somewhere between pour over and French press. And it looks incredible.
